Hydrotherapy Pool

This pool, 8m x 8m deck level and 1m deep is designed for people with physical disabilities.  The water is heated to a temperature of 37 degrees to allow learning in an environment where movement without great physical effort may be achieved.

The pool has separate changing facilities with a ceiling hoist system straight into the pool.  Access is made easy with a set of walk in steps with handrails on the pool side and a poolside hoist.

The pool has a range of sensory lights and a sound system which can be operated by users in the water.

Hydrotherapy has healing and recuperative properties due to its thermal and mechanical effects. It can help with lessening pain sensitivity, improving blood flow and circulation.

Hydrotherapy can be used to treat muscle weakness, balance disorders, musculo- skeletal injuries, soft tissue injuries and other conditions that impair circulation.
